In this tutorial we’re going to show you how to create a glossy text effect in Photoshop.

Step 1 :

Create a new file with 800 x 600 pixels, 72 dpi resolution, RGB-Colormode and a white background.

Step 2 :

Make a gradient background by choosing “Gradient Tool (G)” with the following settings :

Step 3 :

Create a new layer and add a light blue text to it with the “Type Tool (T)“.

Step 4 :

After the text is created, right click the text layer in the layer window and select “blending options” and apply the following effects :

- Drop Shadow

- Inner Glow

- Bevel and Emboss

- Stroke

Step 5 : Done!
